my home
I have always been a cat lover and have had several feline pals throughout the years, in addition to numerous other animals, both now and in the past. Although my spouse and I own a modest hobby cattery in the country of the United States with a variety of animals, my Cornish Rex kittens are the most exciting part of my day. My kitties, like all of our other animals, are a part of our family, and I adore them. If it occurs, it's supposed to be because I respect a natural breeding scheme. We have had several lovely kittens at my cattery for the past twelve years or so, and they have now found their final homes. I don't believe in overbreeding my cats, and I only have a few kittens per year. I have never looked back since I opened my cattery in October 2008, following the birth of Narla and Simba's first litter of kittens.
The Purpose & Passion
My Cornish Rex kittens should have the purr-machine, fearless, cuddly, and attentive demeanor that I strive for. I adore a cat that follows me about, welcomes visitors, converses with me, and cuddles up to me. That kind of Cornish Rex kitten calms me down and makes me feel really comfortable. What a dreamboat that kind of cornish cat! A cat that gives you infinite affection and hugs is what I desire for you. It's crucial to keep in mind, too, that every kitten is unique and will have different preferences and personalities. A litter of kittens might differ in that some may be sporadic snugglers or more playful than others. Your cat's behavior toward you might also change depending on how you engage with them. ❤️ I've seen that people who are laid back, kind, and not excessively demanding have drawn a more laid-back and adorable personality from their Cornish Rex cat. I have worked hard to maintain parents who produce my ideal temperaments, even if it is impossible to breed identical cats every time!In order to know exactly what to expect, I continue repeat breedings and select beautiful instances to become parents. If a Cornish Rex kitten is timid, afraid, or erratic, I will not retain or breed them.

Cornish rex kitten bred with care
Our Cornish Rex cattery and breeding program is a labor of love, cleanliness, sanitation, daily care, and careful documentation. We place the highest priority on health and safety. We take great care in breeding our Cornish Rex kittens for sale.
THE NURSERY
For one week before to giving birth, mothers reside in a pop-up cloth pen. This relieves Mom's stress and protects the baby from inappropriate nesting locations. In one of my two kitten nursery rooms, I house the mothers of Cornish Rex with their babies. We all check on and handle the kittens several times a day with the assistance of my husband and kitty assistants, and each enclosure has a ring camera pointed at it. I help with delivery, provide supportive care like milk replacement, and weigh and change the kittens' bedding every day. I guard the rooms from drafts and keep them quiet for Mama's comfort. At eighty-three degrees, this space is maintained warm.
KITTEN ROOM
After 4-6 weeks of age, moms can raise their kittens in a community setting. During this period, they have unfettered access to the playpen and gradually spend less time with their babies as they wean. At three to four weeks, kittens start eating raw food without the requirement for a specific transition recipe. Washable pee pads and flushable cat litter are used during training, and after five to six weeks, toys and scratchers are added. In addition to time spent with other people, each litter receives 30 to 60 minutes of daily handling and socializing. At 6 weeks, kitten confidence is increased by supervised interaction with larger siblings. Every one to two days, routine cleaning included washing kittens, cleaning up food spills, disinfecting toys, changing bedding, and scooping litter. A TV plays desensitizing noises every day, and kittens are used to Petkit automated litter boxes from the age of ten weeks.
LIVING ROOM
The owner gives their cats a lot of attention and allows them free access to the whole house, especially the living room, which is 1000 square feet. Swiffering floors, grooming, water fountain cleaning, and carpet cleaning are all part of the daily and weekly chores. Every week, nails are clipped, and every two to four months, thorough baths are administered. With the exception of childbirth and quarantine, cats are often not kept in cages. Cats that get along live together, switching bedrooms sometimes to avoid marking. Male cats have separate apartments with windows, water fountains, wall shelves, scratching posts, and robot vacuums, but they are not allowed to wander freely because of spraying. In order to guarantee that males continue to have luxurious lives, the owner seeks to rehome them following their breeding careers.
Cornish Rex Coats
Biologists divide the normal cat coat into two basic groups: long guard hairs (topcoat), and awn hairs (undercoat). The awn layer can be further subdivided to include soft down hairs; these two layers are essential for preventing heat loss. The down hairs, while very dense, are extremely soft and fragile, and are crimped or wavy along the full length of the shaft. The strong outer guard hairs lie flat over the awn and down and assist in trapping the body heat in close to the skin and also protects the inner, fragile awn, and the soft down hairs from sustaining environmental damage. Unlike other domestic breeds, the Cornish Rex coat does not contain guard hairs: only the soft silky awn and down hairs (see diagram below)
The omission of the strong straight guard hairs enables the awn hairs to form a deep, wavy or crimped appearance from the top of the head on the forehead between the ears, to the very tip of the tail.The Cornish Rex coat is also incredibly soft to touch. Because the coat does not carry any strong, course guard hair it is downy and feels similar to crushed velvet. The Cornish Rex coat should always be stroked from the head to the tail. Backward stroking disrupts the lay of the ripples, and because of the fragility of the hairs, may cause damage in the form of splitting and breaking if repeatedly brushed in the wrong direction.

The full, deeply rippled coat and glossy sheen develops quickly, in just a matter of weeks, once the ripples begin to reappear at around 6 - 8 weeks. In some lines, the ripples never flatten out. These kittens generally have deeply rippled and exceptionally dense coats, from birth. On the other hand, some lines never develop full rich coats, and some, never develop a good coat at all. This is a fault. Breeders are usually well versed in coat genetics and work with other breeders to ensure that the integrity of the "Cornish Rex" coat is maintained with a view to always achieving the Perfect Coat - a worthy pursuit, as shown in the photographs of "Denim" & "Baby". |

Rex Cats - Hypoallergenic - Fact or Fiction |
It has often been stated that the Cornish and other Rex cats are non-allergenic. In reality, this is not the case. Around 10 - 15% of the world's population is allergic to cats and other animals with fur. The most common causes of these allergies are allergic responses to certain allergens that adhere to, and shed, from the coat. Several of the worst offenders are allergenic proteins excreted by glands in the skin and to a lesser extent contained in saliva and urine and other allergens in dander from the skin.
The protein secretions stick to the cat's coat when it licks and cleans, and to furniture, upholstery, carpets, bedding and clothing. Dander, old skin that sheds from the cat in fine particles similar to talcum powder, is also a high allergenic characteristic that is common to all animals with fur.
While thought by some to have reduced levels of the abovementioned allergens, Rex cats are not free of these characteristics. Statistics show that only around 10% of people who are allergic to cats are totally free of symptoms or become desensitised to Rex cats, which leaves another 90% who remain intolerant. At this stage, no firm scientific reasons have been found that identify why some people are less sensitive to the Rex breeds than others. If a person is sensitive to cats, it is recommended that care and research be carried out before deciding to bring a "Rex" into a home. The most sensible option is to spend some time with a rex before making a decision.

Not to mention their very curly, bunny-like coat, Cornish Rex are renowned for their kind, kind disposition. In actuality, each Cornish Rex has a distinct personality, even if the breed standard provides us with a clear notion of how they should seem and behave.
While some people like to snuggle on their own terms, others are complete lap cats. While some are more relaxed and perceptive, others are gregarious and fun. When their Cornish Rex kitten is old enough, I ask all of my adopters to complete a "Temperament & Traits" form since personality is extremely important. To give prospective families a better idea of what to anticipate in future litters, these results are displayed on each Queen's profile. Although it's not a precise science—kittens enjoy surprising us—I want to share as much information as I can with you.
When it comes to choosing my mamas and dads, here’s what I personally require:
Handleability: They must be able to put up with (and perhaps like) being held, groomed, and transported in a carrier. I won't include a cat in my program if they exhibit severe anxiety or aversion to these commonplace items.
Energy level: Although I don't prioritize it, I do keep an eye on activity levels. It is best for Cornish Rexes to be calm and kind rather than hyper or destructive.
Type of coat: I choose Cornish Rexes because of their luscious, curly coat. I steer clear of too thick double coats that are prone to mating. My ideal coat would be incredibly silky, low-maintenance, and low-shedding.

Just wanted you to see how he is doing. Growing like crazy..and. We love him like crazy. We get a lot of compliments about him. When his hair is longer he looks a little darker. He is very bright, also. Jerry has begun training him for duck hunting. He loves to be loved and will give us a kiss if we say "Cayman, where's my kisses?" I would say he recognizes about 10 words on a regular basis.
