Adopting a Cornish Rex kitten from Taylor Cornish Cattery comes with a signed health guarantee against congenital defects for two years. Our Cornish Rex kittens are vaccinated and given a well-baby examination by a licensed veterinarian at eight and twelve weeks of age.The following vaccinations are administered to our Cornish Rex kittens:

Feline panleukopenia, often known as feline distemper, is one of the most common and highly infectious feline illnesses. Feline panleukopenia, which is characterized by fever, vomiting, diarrhea, and lack of appetite, is a leading cause of mortality, especially in kittens. 

FVR, or feline viral rhinotracheitis The symptoms of this extremely contagious respiratory illness include fever, inflammation of the eyes, appetite loss, and sneezing. Both the nose and the eye start to discharge as the illness worsens.

Feline Calicivirus in cats (FCV) Another severe respiratory illness in cats is this one, which occurs often in conjunction with viral rhinotracheitis in cats. Infection symptoms resemble those of FVR (fever, appetite loss, and nasal discharge); however, cats infected with calicivirus may also develop tongue ulcers.

Feline Bordatella (Bb) in cats Since feline bordatella, sometimes referred to as kennel cough, is a series of illnesses rather than a single-agent infection, adopting families with dogs are advised to take precautions. We advise any family adopting a Cornish Rex kitten from us to have Bordetella vaccinations administered by their veterinarian.

By the time they are 12 weeks old, our Cornish kittens have received at least three deworming treatments with Nemex-2 dewormer.

A Cornish Rex kitten who is older than 16 weeks will receive a rabies vaccination before being transported by air.One of the most well-known and dreaded illnesses in the world, rabies is nearly invariably deadly.Humans get the rabies virus mostly by the bite of an infected animal, which targets the brain and central nervous system. For the first time, rabies cases in cats were higher than in dogs in 1981–1982.Due to this circumstance, several authorities now mandate that all cats receive rabies vaccinations.

Health Guarantee - Specifics

The seller guarantees that the kitten depicted is the offspring of healthy animals free from any congenital problems that might endanger life. A birth defect is the more popular term for a congenital defect. Most appear during or close to birth. For two (2) years after the kitten's birth, the seller insures the mentioned kitten against potentially fatal congenital abnormalities. The vendor must be informed as soon as the congenital problem is discovered, and this is a limited warranty. The following are the only examples of congenital defects: potentially fatal cardiomyopathy, entropions, and cataracts (which may spontaneously resorb, or vanish, within the first year);degeneration of the retina, if the retina is functioning, surgery can be required, Megaesophagus, portosystemic shunt (liver), patent ductus arteriosus (PDA), seborrhea oleosa, amyloidosis, mucopolysaccharidosis, cleft palates and cleft lips. In the event that a claim is made for any of the congenital problems listed above, the seller must have written confirmation from a licensed veterinarian detailing the kitten's condition and their assessment of its severity. Before replacing the kitten, the seller retains the right to have it examined again by their own veterinarian to confirm the condition. If this happens, the kitten will be swapped out with a similar one as soon as one is available. Color and sex will be comparable replacements.
